Yes! The Avenue Steak Tavern in Grandview offers special pricing on both food and beverage items Monday through Friday from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Happy hour offerings are exclusive to the bar area and the patio. The Avenue’s Happy Hour Menu features some items not available outside happy hour such as the Steak Bites and Dungeness Crab Deviled Eggs so it’s a treat to enjoy. The Classic Cocktails list includes a Sloe Tom Collins, Planters Punch, Margarita, Espresso Martini (from 1983) and an Old Fashioned. The red leather banquette and bar seating and warm wood interiors give off an intimate club scene vibe. What’s The Avenue Steak Tavern famous for?

Most people rave about the Happy Hour – there are unique cocktail and food items that aren’t offered anytime other than Monday – Friday between 4 – 6 pm and they’re amazing. Menu standouts are the Steak Frites – a super tender marinated flank steak with a mountain of their crispy, perfectly fried shoestring potatoes. The Tavern Salad has a wholly unique, lightly sweet dressing with crumbles of creamy gorgonzola. The appetizer list is filled with perfectly-executed classics like Shrimp Dejonghe, Oysters Rockefeller and Steak Tartare. It’s a place where the classics are celebrated so the Cocktail list is broken into a set of Classic Cocktails and new creations named for New York boroughs.

The atmosphere is unique – background music is a mix of 60s and early 70s classics from Sinatra to The Supremes to The Beach Boys. The patio is the place to be on Grandview Avenue when the weather is warm. Windows in the bar open to the patio and the bar offers a comfy mix of high-top and booth seating.

Yes! The patio is available during seasonal weather with tables for two lining the rail and the window-side. Windows from the bar open to the patio. It’s a great spot for enjoying the breeze and people watching along Grandview Avenue.

Where’s the best place to park and is there valet service?

The Avenue Steak Tavern is located at 1307 Grandview Avenue, Grandview Heights, Ohio, near downtown Columbus. On-street, 2-hour, free parking is available along Grandview Avenue. There is a parking lot located behind The Avenue offering enforced, paid parking after 5:00 pm – it is operated by Wagenbrenner.

Yes! The Avenue offers a well-curated wine list with service by the glass and bottle. A selection of premium wines rotate through the Coravin list. Coravin allows wine to be poured and served by the glass without pulling the cork. It delivers great glasses of wine, indistinguishable from untouched bottles. The Captain’s List features prized wines of extraordinary quality from winemakers such as Caymus, Opus One and Heitz Cellars.

Reservations are not required but they are recommended. The dining room can be particularly busy in the later part of the week.
